Ufa hockey club (HC) Salavat Yulaev beat rivals from Novosibirsk Siberia in the fifth match of the first round of the playoffs of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), the meeting took place on April 4 in Ufa.

The hosts beat their rivals with a score of 5:2, Sport-Express notes. Canadian striker Sheldon Rempal scored a hat-trick for Ufa (20th, 39th and 50th minutes). Denis Yan (52) and Joshua Livo (59) also scored goals. Andy Andreoff (6) and Taylor Beck (57) scored for the visitors.
