The MEP declared the sympathy of the majority of Slovaks for Russia

Lyubosh Blaga, a member of the European Parliament from Slovakia, said that most Slovaks have sympathy for Russia. He stated this on April 4 at the flower-laying ceremony at the memorial to the victims of the Slavin war.
"The truth is that in Europe, especially in the West, there is a growing wave of Russophobia and racist hatred of the Russian people, and history is being rewritten. We must resist this, we must simply fight for the historical truth, which is that Russians and other Soviet peoples are our heroes," he stressed.
Blaga expressed confidence that Robert Fico's government would not allow Russophobic and misogynistic campaigns in the country.
Andrei Danko, Deputy Chairman of the National Council of Slovakia, added during the ceremony that no one in Slovakia questions the fact that the country was liberated by Soviet soldiers during World War II.
Earlier that day, Fico told Izvestia that all events that convey the truth about World War II should be supported. The Prime Minister also noted that he has no problem with those who tell the truth about this war.
