A special fire protection regime was introduced in two districts of the Pskov region.

A special fire protection regime has started operating in the Velikiye Luki and Novosokolnichesky districts of the Pskov region. The heads of the district administrations reported this in their Telegram channels.

The ODA has been installed in both territories since April 4, the Pskov News Feed writes. Due to the increased danger during this period, it is forbidden to visit forests, build bonfires, burn garbage and dry vegetation, as well as carry out fire work.

"Fallen grasses are a direct route to a fire. In a matter of minutes, a fire can spread to your property and destroy what you have accumulated over the years — property, pets, and housing itself. People can die in the fire," warned Alexey Kuzmin, the head of the Velikiye Luki district.

Since April 1, a fire season has been officially declared in the Pskov region. The corresponding order was signed by the head of the region Mikhail Vedernikov.
