The expert gave advice on the formation of family savings

More than half of Russians (59%) plan to form family savings of more than 500 thousand rubles. There are almost equal numbers of men and women who want to save this amount — 61% and 56%, respectively. Such data was obtained during the research of Sberbank Life Insurance and the search and recruitment service "Work.ru". The results were reviewed by Izvestia on April 7.

According to the study, 68% of respondents admitted that both partners should manage the family budget. Only one in ten (10%) the Russian said that his wife should be doing this. Another 8% believe that this is the husband's task.

At the same time, 13% of Russians would like to send more money to the family budget, the same number (13%) of respondents, on the contrary, would prefer to reduce their contribution, while the rest (74%) are satisfied with this issue.

"As the study showed, the goal of Russians is to form family savings of more than 500 thousand rubles. In order to achieve this financial goal, it is necessary to take a competent approach to managing the family budget. We recommend that you save about 10-15% of your income. Among the financial instruments used in this case, it is better to give preference to those that do not carry risk and have protection," said Alexander Tikhomirov, Investment Director at Sberbank Life Insurance.

In addition, 27% of respondents form common savings, 26% — both common and separate. Another 17% of Russians create only separate savings. And 23% do not form savings at all.
