A pirated copy of a movie based on the Minecraft video game franchise has appeared on the Internet. It was available with relatively good picture quality, first with Ukrainian and later with Russian dubbing.
The main roles in the comedy were played by Jack Black, Jason Momoa, Jennifer Coolidge and Emma Myers — an ideal cast tailored to the target audience, made on the principle of "something for everyone." The novelty will debut in Russian cinemas only from April 12 in the "pre-screening" format, with pre-sales already underway in some places.

A mandatory participant in all family comedies with a game source, Jack Black plays the cute and clumsy klutz Steve, the key character of Minecraft. Jason Momoa fits seamlessly into the comedy "jock" format. But the brightest of all is the heroine of Emma Myers, an actress who became a superstar after roles in "Wednesday" and "The Good Girl's Murder Guide." When she finds herself in the magical world of Minecraft, the first thing she says is, "This place doesn't make any sense!" And the audience in this place laughs understandingly.

Director Jared Hess admitted in an interview that he has four children, with whom they play Minecraft together. Well, it's noticeable what the fan was doing: even the square chickens or monster jockeys were transferred to the film so carefully that it's hard to blame the director's work, known for art experiments, for the soulless "Hollywood".

In recent years, video game adaptations have made it into the big leagues — films with original source games like "Sonic 3 in the Movies" or "The Super Mario Brothers in the Movies" have earned hundreds of millions of dollars. As for Minecraft in the cinema, according to the first forecasts of analysts, the opening weekend in the United States and Canada will provide the film with collections of up to $ 80 million. But it is already clear that fans of video game adaptations for the big screen should not miss the novelty.
