Art Russia Contemporary Art Fair
Russian celebrities spent the end of last week in Gostiny Dvor, where the Art Russia contemporary art fair was operating these days. Experts of the art market, collectors, and stars of the domestic show business were the first to visit it as part of the VIP opening. On April 3, even before the official opening of the doors, Timati and Philip Kirkorov arrived, who were able to study the works in the pavilions free of spectators.
— I have been a collector of Russian contemporary art since recently, I have been interested in it for two years, but what I see is world—class, — Philip Kirkorov shared his impressions with journalists.
He studied space in the company of the artist Evgeny Ches and made several acquisitions. Among them is a T-shirt created by Ilya Match. Mitya Fomin left the fair with a gift: the artist Victoria Polevaya presented him with an interior garnet made of earthenware and covered with German glaze.
— Eyes are running away, there is a completely diverse genre of creativity. There really is something to see, something to be inspired by, something to learn. You even see something in your space. For now, I'm just walking around like a gawker. But I'm a grateful onlooker," Mitya Fomin joked in an interview with Izvestia.
Among the guests of the fair was fashion designer Julia Yanina, whose work is now mainly concentrated in France.
— There are very positive galleries. One of my favorites is the Dmitrenko brothers. There's so much life in their work! Now people need to be given joy," she shared her thoughts with Izvestia after watching it.
Vladislav Lisovets, musicians Anna Pletneva, Irakli, rapper ST, and actress Lyanka Gryu also visited Art Russia. Izvestia wrote in detail about what the artists presented to the public on the first day of the fair.
