Overchuk declared the end of the era of globalization in the world

There is an understanding in the world that the era of globalization is over, and China was one of the first to understand this, and not in the countries of the European Union (EU). This was announced on April 4 by Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk.
"Today we see that, of course, countries understand that globalization is over. It's already starting to sound very clear," Overchuk told Rossiya 24 TV channel.
He added that the People's Republic of China (PRC), having come to understand a new turn, launched the "One Belt, One Road" initiative. For Russia, cooperation with the states of the former Soviet republics within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has become an analogue of such a project.
"At some stage, Europe chose a different path. Apparently, there are no politicians on the scale of [former French President Charles] De Gaulle or [former German Chancellor] Willy Brandt. In fact, it would be beneficial for them to talk to us and negotiate. But they decided not to do it, and they decided not to do it in a very rude way," said the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
On March 28, Overchuk also noted that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the Eurasian Economic Union grew by 4.2% last year, while the EU increased by only 0.8%. He also pointed out that Europe is undergoing a process of deindustrialization. The current situation is the result of a gap between European politicians and experts. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, they did not analyze the events in time and could not foresee the consequences.
On March 24, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that trends in the development of the international situation are turning towards changing the worldview and forming a more just world order. He noted that the process of strengthening new world centers has begun and is continuing beyond the Global West. It is taking place in China, India and other partner countries of Russia in the BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), which are striving for independence.
