Journalist and film critic Ekaterina Barabash, video blogger Alexei Gubanov, and journalist Alexander Lushnikov were added to the register of foreign agents. This was announced on April 4 on the website of the Russian Ministry of Justice.
In addition, the online publication "Glasnaya" was included in the list of foreign agents.
According to the statement of the Ministry of Justice, Barabash disseminated false information about the activities of the Russian authorities and the Armed Forces, and also opposed a special military operation in Ukraine. Similar charges were brought against the other defendants in the updated list.
It is noted that all of them live abroad and actively participate in the dissemination of information aimed at creating a negative image of the Russian government.
"The newspaper Glasnaya participated in the creation and dissemination of messages and materials from foreign agents to an unlimited number of people, as well as in the dissemination of messages and materials from foreign and international organizations whose activities were deemed undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation," the ministry added.
Earlier, on March 28, it was reported that DJ Artem Brovkov, historian Irina Shcherbakova and commentator Alexander Shmurnov were added to the register of foreign agents. According to the Ministry of Justice, Brovkov, Shcherbakova and Shmurnov participated in the creation and distribution of materials from organizations whose activities are considered undesirable in Russia.
