Three citizens of Belarus have been charged with treason. This was announced on April 4 by the Investigative Committee (IC) of the republic.

According to the agency, the defendants have been cooperating with foreign intelligence services for several years, providing them with information about various aspects of public life.

The "shadow" activity was supervised by foreign funds and subsequently used as an aggressive information bomb against our country," the agency's Telegram channel says.

The actions of the defendants were qualified under Part 1 of Article 356 ("Treason to the state") and Part 2 of Article 243-3 ("Evasion from paying insurance premiums, resulting in especially large-scale damage") The Criminal Code of the Republic. They were taken into custody.

On April 3, security forces detained a woman in the Kherson region who was transferring money to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to purchase armored vehicles and ammunition. A criminal case has been opened under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Treason"), and the accused has been taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing.
