A survivor of a bear attack in the Moscow region has a seriously injured face


A man who survived a bear attack in the Shakhovsky district of the Moscow region suffered severe facial injuries. Elena, a local resident, told Izvestia about this on April 4.
"He has multiple wounds, and his face and scalp are practically gone," she said, adding that the man is in extremely serious condition.
According to the woman, the victim went to the forest for deer antlers. After being attacked by a predator, he managed to seek help from rescuers.
"According to him, the beast rushed from behind <...> and began to gnaw his face. Judging by the tracks, the animal dragged his body through the forest, but the man pretended to be dead and was somehow conscious," the interlocutor shared.
The incident occurred on April 3 near the village of Sokolovo. A bear attacked a 29-year-old man who was in a forest plot. The victim was hospitalized with head and chest wounds, as well as a fractured shoulder, but he managed to survive. The man's condition is monitored by doctors.
