The American media called the Russian Kornet one of the best ATGMs in the world.

The Russian Kornet anti-tank missile system has become one of the most effective in the world. The American edition of 19FortyFive wrote about this on April 4.

The Kornet has been widely used in the current Russian-Ukrainian conflict and to great effect. Due to its range and powerful warhead, the Kornet proved to be a deadly opponent for Ukrainian tanks, even for highly secure Western equipment such as M1 Abrams," the publication says.

It is specified that one of the main advantages of the "Cornet" is the versatility of the complex. There are both portable and stationary versions of ATGMs designed for installation on equipment. This flexibility allows the complex to be used in a wide range of tactical scenarios.

The powerful tandem warhead of the Kornet missile makes it possible to penetrate the armor of modern tanks, additionally equipped with dynamic protection. The semi-automatic laser-guided munition system provides the complex with "significant accuracy and reliability," the publication noted.
