- Peskov: phone conversation between Putin and Trump is not planned, there is nothing in the schedule

A telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump is not planned in the coming days. This was announced on April 4 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"There are no plans for the next few days yet. There is nothing in the schedule yet," the Russian leader's press secretary said at a briefing.
Earlier in the day, NBC News reported that Trump's entourage advises him not to hold another telephone conversation with Putin "until a full cease-fire is agreed." The publication states that Trump may "suddenly" want to talk to Putin. However, the US president's entourage believes that calling the leaders' spirits now is a bad idea.
Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries, met with Steve Witkoff, Special Envoy of the President of the United States, in Washington on April 3. After the meeting, an official on the social network X called the dialogue between the two countries important. The CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund attached to the publication a picture showing a plane heading towards Washington.
