A married couple and their minor granddaughter died in a fire in a private house in the Naro-Fominsk city district. This was reported in the press service of the GSU of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the Moscow region on Friday, April 4.

The fire occurred in a private household of the Eureka SNT in the Naro-Fominsk city district on the night of April 4.

"During the liquidation of the fire, the bodies of an 11-year—old girl and her grandparents were found," the press service of the department told the Moscow city news agency.

The investigative authorities opened a criminal case under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence"). According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire could be an electrical malfunction.

"Investigators and criminologists have inspected the scene, forensic examinations have been appointed, interrogations are continuing, and all the circumstances of the incident are being established," the Investigative Committee added.

On the eve of Vlasikha, near Moscow, four people died as a result of a fire in an apartment building, NSN reports.

Seven people, including two children, were rescued during the fire, RT reports. A total of 20 people were evacuated, in particular, five minors, the website says. kp.ru .
