Summary of the special operation in Ukraine for the week

A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. It is noted that the Russian Armed Forces carried out seven group strikes with precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles, as a result of which the infrastructure of military airfields was damaged.

An enterprise of the rocket and space industry, control points, assembly shops and storage sites for attack drones were also hit.

"In the Kharkov and Belgorod directions, units of three mechanized, motorized infantry brigades, a brigade of unmanned systems, two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade and three air defense brigades were defeated," the Defense Ministry noted.

Also, during the week, air defense systems shot down 15 American JDAM guided aerial bombs, four HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, a Uragan multiple rocket launcher, as well as 895 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, 660 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 49,774 unmanned aerial vehicles, 601 anti-aircraft missile systems, 22,689 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,534 multiple rocket launchers, 23,221 field artillery and mortars, 33,696 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
