Russia was not included in the list of countries subject to duties by the administration of US President Donald Trump, because there is no trade in any tangible figures with it. This was stated at a briefing on April 4 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

He added that, thanks to the government's meticulous actions, the Russian economy is developing successfully and remains solid.

On April 2, Trump announced large-scale measures: base tariffs of 10% are being introduced for all products supplied to the United States. For the EU, this figure has been raised to 20%, and for China — to 34%. In his speech, the president said that Americans will become rich again.
