An avalanche descended on the Kolyma highway in Yakutia

An avalanche occurred on the 595 kilometer of the Kolyma federal highway in Yakutia on Friday, April 4. A temporary restriction has been introduced for all types of transport, the press service of the regional department of the State Traffic Inspectorate reports.

Traffic was prohibited on the section from 478 to 796 km. The restrictions are valid from 9.00 to 16.00 local time (from 15.00 to 22.00 Moscow time).

According to IA YakutiaMedia, adverse weather conditions in the form of heavy snowfall are also observed on the territory of the highway.

The State Traffic Inspectorate asks all road users to be extremely careful on the specified section of the road and refrain from traveling in this direction. A change in the situation will be notified additionally.
