The best-selling cars in Russia at the beginning of spring are named

Lada Granta became the best-selling new car in Russia by the end of March 2025. This is stated in the message of the analytical agency Autostat, which was received by Izvestia on April 4.

During the month, 10.7 thousand Lada Granta family cars were sold in the country, including those produced on its basis. This is 42.9% less than a year ago. The Lada Vesta family is in second place, with a result of 7.2 thousand cars sold in early spring (-35.6%).

The Chinese Haval Jolion crossover remained the best foreign car in the country, which sold almost 4,000 units in March (-37.9%). It is followed by the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max crossover (3.4 thousand units; -34.4%) and two VAZ SUVs — Lada Niva Travel (2.8 thousand units; -46.8%) and Niva Legend (2.5 thousand units; -47.9%).

The top ten best-selling cars were supplemented by Haval M6 (2 thousand units; -42%), Lada Largus (2 thousand units; an increase of 66.5 times), Geely Monjaro (2 thousand units; -61.5%) and Chery Tiggo 4 Pro (1.9 thousand units; -41.4%). At the same time, according to the results of the first month of spring, Largus recorded the highest growth, while Monjaro recorded the strongest decline.

In the first quarter, the dynamics turned out to be positive for Lada Largus, whose sales volume increased 41-fold due to its low comparative base. The other models presented showed a drop, and Geely Monjaro had the strongest drop again (-54.5%).

Earlier in the day, it was reported that by the end of March 2025, 79.8 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 45.5% less than in the first spring month of 2024. Lada remains the market leader, its share in early spring exceeded 31% (a year ago this figure was below 28%), and sales amounted to 25.2 thousand copies sold.
