At least five people have died in an explosion in Bolivia. This was reported on April 4 by the Argentine newspaper La Razon.

According to the newspaper, the incident occurred on April 3 during a conflict between two mining brigades. The explosive device was hidden in a barrel of diesel fuel and activated remotely.

In a video from the scene, a rescuer reports that a confrontation has arisen between the Hijos and Señor Mayo cooperatives. Searches are underway for the dead and wounded.

"The explosives were activated by remote control, and one of the dead could have been the one who activated them," the newspaper quoted Deputy Interior Minister Johnny Aguilera as saying.

The explosion killed five people, including a one-year-old child. 350 law enforcement officers arrived at the scene of the emergency to ensure control over the territory.

Earlier, on April 1, it was reported that an explosion occurred at a firecracker factory in India, killing at least 13 people. According to preliminary data, the explosion led to a fire and the collapse of parts of the building.
