The case of a defendant accused of mass poisoning of minors at a school in the village of Pokrovka, Primorsky Krai, will be considered in court. This was announced on April 4 by the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.

"The prosecutor's office of the Oktyabrsky district has approved an indictment against the medical disinfector of the department of focal and preventive disinfection of the Primorsky Disinfection Station," the department said.

It is clarified that the woman was charged under Part 1 of Article 236 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules, which inadvertently created a threat of mass poisoning of people").

From October 2024 to January 20, 2025, the defendant passed rodent poison to school staff who did not have the necessary qualifications to safely carry out deratization. Because of this, five students of the school accidentally consumed a dangerous chemical, as a result of which they needed hospitalization in a medical facility.

"The criminal case has been sent to the Oktyabrsky District Court for consideration on the merits," the prosecutor's office concluded.

On April 2, a five-year-old girl was taken to a hospital in Moscow after being bullied by insects in an entrance hall. The child was admitted to the clinic with suspected acute inhalation poisoning. According to Dad, the entrance that day smelled of insect poison. Her sister was also injured. She was taken to the hospital with suspected acute intoxication.
