The film "The Fall of the Crown" about Louis XVI was released.


A historical drama from the creators of Jeanne Dubary, The Fall of the Crown, has been released. The film was directed by Gianluca Jodice.
The film stars Guillaume Canet, Melanie Laurent, Aurora Brutin, Yugo Diyon and Tom Hudson. The leading Italian film director and screenwriter Paolo Sorrentino acted as an associate producer. The film has already won recognition at the 77th Locarno International Film Festival.
The painting tells about the last days of the life of Louis XVI and the famous Marie Antoinette. XVIII century, the height of the French Revolution. The reign of the Bourbon dynasty came to an end, Louis XVI and his family were arrested and imprisoned far from Versailles. The splendor of secular life is replaced by isolation and helplessness. Painfully living through popular unrest and a coup d'etat, the king and his family find themselves isolated from the outside world and imprisoned awaiting sentencing. Accustomed to luxury and a carefree life, Marie Antoinette finds herself vulnerable for the first time, in fear of her own future and the fate of the crown.
Little is known about this period of imprisonment of the king and queen with their children. "The Fall of the Crown" offers a look at the dramatic period of several months in the life of the last royal family of France.
