- In Primorye, employees of the Udege Legend shot a tiger that killed a forest ranger.

An employee of the Udege Legend National Park in Primorye shot and killed a tiger that had been mauled by a forest ranger. This was announced on Friday, April 4, by the park's press service.
"Defending his life, an employee of the institution was forced to use a weapon, as a result of which the animal was shot <...> This Amur tiger specimen (a middle—aged male) was regularly observed in part of the national park," the Telegram channel said.
They clarified that previously the tiger avoided meetings with people and there were no conflict situations with him. However, during the capture, the rangers found out that the animal had sustained injuries that prevented it from hunting.
The Amur tiger carcass has been sent for examination, the press service announced.
On March 11, in the Krasnoarmeysky district of Primorsky Krai, a tiger attacked a local forester in the taiga, and the man died. The press service of the regional Ministry of Forestry reported on March 12 that a district forester and an assistant were in the forest far from populated areas when a tiger crept up from behind and attacked one of the men.
