A Russian sailor injured in an explosion on a ship in South Korea has died.

One of the Russian sailors injured in the explosion on the Crystal Asia ship in the port of South Korea died in a medical facility. This was announced on April 3 by the State Labor Inspectorate in Primorsky Krai.

"As a result of the explosion, six people were injured, one of them died in hospital," the ministry said in a statement.

An immediate unscheduled on-site inspection and investigation into the death of a Russian employee have been initiated following the tragedy.
