The Russian economy is developing and growing despite the sanctions imposed on the country. This was announced on April 3 by Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), in an interview with Fox News.

"Russia does not demand the lifting of sanctions, because if you look at our GDP growth, last year it was 4% against only 1% in Europe. If you look at our debt in relation to GDP, it is 18% against 100% in Europe," he said.

Dmitriev also stressed that Russia is not currently making any explicit demands for the lifting of sanctions against the country.

On April 3, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko declared Russia's solidarity with Cuba over US sanctions. He added that Russia will continue to seek the exclusion of Cuba from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism and the end of its blockade.
