This was announced on Thursday, April 3, by Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries.

As the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund pointed out, there are currently over 150 American companies in the country, 70% of which have been on the market for 25 years or more.

"And we see that many American companies want to occupy the niches that European companies have left, and we see that the ideological constraints that exist among the EU countries may actually allow American companies to occupy a number of niches," Dmitriev said at a press conference.

However, the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation stressed that Russia would ensure that American businesses on its territory were located for the benefit of the state itself.

"The priority is Russian business and the work of Russian business," concluded the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund.
