Russian Ambassador reveals details of Slovakia's proposal to hold talks on Ukraine

Slovakia is offering to hold talks on Ukraine at "lower levels," Russian Ambassador to Bratislava Igor Bratchikov told Izvestia.

In 2.5 hours, the leaders of the two countries also discussed the situation in the Middle East and cooperation in the field of sports.

"The Slovak side has taken the initiative to host negotiations on Ukraine, as they put it, "at the lowest levels." Given the position of today's Bratislava, this is a valid option if it comes to that," the diplomat said.

Almost 70% of the country's residents believe that increasing arms supplies to Kiev is only prolonging the conflict.
