Dmitry Polyansky, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations (UN), expressed shock after the discovery of mass graves of humanitarian workers in the Gaza Strip. He made the corresponding statement on April 3 during a meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation in the Middle East.

"We were shocked by the news of the discovery on March 31 of a mass grave in which 15 humanitarian workers, including a UN employee and eight doctors of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, were buried," the diplomat said.

In his speech, he also pointed out that the public has already blamed Israel for this incident.

On March 31, the UN accused Israel of killing 15 doctors and rescue workers in Gaza. It is specified that the dead medical workers were subsequently buried in a mass grave in southern Gaza. At the same time, the body of one of the doctors was found with his hands tied.

A day earlier, Al Jazeera TV channel reported 64 deaths per day as a result of Israeli strikes on Gaza. On March 18, the Israel Defense Forces announced the resumption of military operations against the Palestinian Hamas movement in Gaza. As a result of the Israeli airstrikes, more than 1,000 people were injured, and the death toll increased to 310.
