Producers of milk adulterate will be punished under the Criminal Code and Administrative Code

Criminal and administrative cases have been initiated against producers of counterfeit dairy products. This follows from the responses of the prosecutor's office, Rospotrebnadzor and Rosselkhoznadzor to the head of the Public Consumer Initiative Oleg Pavlov, which were available to Izvestia on Friday, April 4.

"In relation to the manufacturers and batches of products indicated in the appeal, the Rosselkhoznadzor territorial departments conducted four on—site inspections, 353 preventive measures, which resulted in 15 rulings on administrative offenses under Part 1 of Article 14.43 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, and 45 warnings about the inadmissibility of violating mandatory requirements," the response to Pavlov says.

Decisions were made regarding the invalidation of declarations of conformity for eight manufacturers.

The results of the detected counterfeit products from manufacturers were also confirmed by the prosecutor's office and Rospotrebnadzor.

"Despite the fact that the government has created all conditions for detecting and blocking counterfeit products using state information labeling systems, the lack of coordination of the necessary regulations on the part of the Ministry of Energy, unfortunately, does not allow illegal products to be blocked at cash registers and in public procurement," explained Pavlov, who initiated the inspection of suppliers.

On March 19, the Rosselkhoznadzor called Svetofor stores a platform for the sale of counterfeit goods. Currently, employees of the territorial administration continue to monitor the sale of animal products in Svetofor supermarkets. According to the agency, all unsafe products were disposed of. In addition, administrative cases were initiated and warnings were issued about the inadmissibility of violations of established norms.
