- In honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Music of Victory project will be launched

On the eve of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Music of Victory project will be launched. His main task is to preserve the memory of the heroic deeds of Soviet soldiers and the Great Victory through his musical legacy. The project will also help unite different generations of Russian residents. This was reported by Izvestia on Friday, April 4.
Famous war songs will acquire a new sound without losing their depth and historical value. Polina Gagarina, SHAMAN (Yaroslav Dronov), Tatiana Kurtukova, Oleg Gazmanov, Django (Alexey Poddubny), Vladimir Kristovsky, Victoria Daineko, the Katyusha group and other famous performers will take part in the recording of the compositions.
The project will be organized by the Igor Matvienko production center and the VKontakte social network. Updated versions of the songs will appear on leading streaming platforms and will be broadcast on the main radio stations of the country.
During the war, music became a real "cultural weapon." Many compositions were created literally under fire. These songs warmed the spirits of the soldiers in the trenches, the wounded in hospitals and home front workers. During the Great Patriotic War, 42 thousand artists gave about 1.5 million concerts at the front.
The proceeds from listening to songs within the framework of the project will be used to help veterans of the Great Patriotic War and participants in the special military operation (SVO).
"I believe that the songs of those years, I mean the songs of the war years, they should be played these days, because they inspired all our Soviet people to feats and helped them to live. Because a song is such an amazing genre. She always supports the spirit and mood," said Nikolai Rastorguev, People's Artist of Russia, leader of the Lube group.
Earlier, on April 1, Alexander Burov, head of the Scientific Regiment project at the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, said that in Russia there is an increase in the number of activists who post stories about their parents who went through the Second World War on their social networks. He noted that the purpose of the patriotic action is to perpetuate the memory of the fate of scientists, teachers, students, as well as scientific developments that brought victory closer.
