Dmitriev revealed the topics of the conversation with Witkoff in Washington

Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Investment and Economic cooperation with Foreign countries, discussed the topic of rare earth metals (REM) with Steve Witkoff, Special envoy of the President of the United States, during a meeting in Washington. "We also discussed possible interactions in the Arctic, rare earth metals, and various other sectors where we can build constructive and positive relationships," Dmitriev said.

Separately, he noted that the duties imposed by US President Donald Trump against most countries of the world did not affect Russia.

Another topic of discussion at the recent negotiations was the topic of the economic and investment nature of interstate relations. Dmitriev noted the desire of many American campaigns to return to Russia and continue doing business in the country.

"We see that many American companies want to occupy the niches that European companies have left, and we see that the ideological constraints that exist among the EU countries may actually allow American companies to occupy a number of niches," said the head of the RDIF.

Such negotiations can lead to significant improvements in Russian-American relations.

"In fact, active work is underway to restore direct flights, and we hope to make progress on this issue. And there are also many other issues that will allow for cultural, tourist, and religious exchanges between Russia and the United States," Dmitriev said.
