After a chemical leak at a plant in the Saratov region, three employees turned to doctors. A source told Izvestia about this on Thursday, April 3.

"Yes, indeed, a local leak occurred at the ammonia evaporation plant in the Balakovo branch of Apatit JSC at about [21:00 Moscow time], which was eliminated. According to preliminary data, three people are undergoing medical examination," the press service of the plant's branch said.

At the same time, they clarified that one worker was allowed to go home, and the other two were still being monitored by doctors.

A chemical leak at an industrial plant in the Balakovo district of the Saratov region, during which workers were injured, became known earlier that day. The UK has started checking on the fact of the release. An appropriate procedural decision will be made based on the results of the audit.
