Applications for participation in the fifth Moscow Fashion Week have been accepted.

The fifth Moscow Fashion Week will be held in the capital from August 28 to September 2 this year. According to Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina, Zaryadye Park will become the main site.

Industry representatives from Russia and other countries are invited to participate. Applications will be accepted until May 20 on the official website of the event.

"At fashion Week, designers will show their new collections, share experiences, discuss global trends, and be able to agree on launching joint projects," Natalia Sergunina said. "Experts will prepare lectures and master classes for Muscovites and tourists."

The participating brands will be determined by the jury. He will have to evaluate the originality of the idea, the concept, the commercial potential and the possibility of mass production. Over 800 designers joined the first four seasons of the fashion week.

An open market will traditionally be open for visitors of the event, where they will be offered to buy accessories and clothes of domestic production. In addition, the World Fashion Shorts short film festival will be held, where films by Russian and foreign directors will be shown.

The fourth Moscow Fashion Week was held on March 13-18 this year. Brands from 27 regions of Russia and nine other countries presented their collections there.

The event is organized by the Fashion Foundation with the support of the government of the capital.
