Two people were killed when a car and a Gazelle collided in Dagestan.

Lada Granta and Gazelle caught fire after a head-on collision in Dagestan, killing two people and injuring another. This was announced on April 3 in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic.

"Today, on April 3, at about 17:00, at kilometer 722 of the Kavkaz highway, the driver of a LADA Granta car entered the lane intended for oncoming traffic and collided with a GAZELLE car driven by a 37-year—old resident of the Khasavyurt district, after which both cars caught fire from the impact," - the message says.

As specified, as a result of the accident, the driver and passenger of the LADA Granta died at the scene. The driver of the Gazelle was taken to the hospital with injuries.

Currently, traffic police officers are working at the scene of the accident, the circumstances of the incident and the identity of the participants in the accident are being investigated, the department said.
