The Georgian authorities have issued a decision regarding Ukrainian citizens, reducing the period of visa-free stay in the country from three years to one year. This was reported on April 3 by the Mtavari TV channel, referring to the decree of the government of the Georgian Dream party.

Prior to that, in the resolution of 2015, the period of stay in Georgia for Ukrainians was 12 months, the Newspaper adds.Ru». Russians do not need a visa to visit Georgia, without it they can stay in the country for up to one year.

In January, the British newspaper The Telegraph reported that thousands of Ukrainian refugees who arrived in the UK may lose their jobs due to difficulties amid new visa rules, since their visas cannot be extended earlier than a month before their expiration date. According to the newspaper, the visa uncertainty affected about 20 thousand Ukrainian refugees.
