The UAF called on UEFA to prevent the return of Russians to international tournaments

The Executive Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) has asked the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and national federations not to discuss the issue of the return of Russian teams to international competitions. This was announced on April 3 in a statement posted on the organization's official website.
It is noted that the issue of reviewing the decision not to allow Russian football players to compete has been raised several times, as well as "attempts to partially lift restrictions."
"With this statement, we appeal to you regarding the inadmissibility and inexpediency of discussing and considering such issues," the UAF wrote in a statement.
On April 3, the president of the International Football Federation (FIFA), Gianni Infantino, said that FIFA hopes for Russia's return soon. He also stressed that the essence of football is not to separate, but to unite people wherever they are.
Earlier, on February 8, the president of the Russian Football Union (RFU), Alexander Dyukov, said that he believes in the return of the Russian national teams to international tournaments in his new term in office.
