The expert spoke about the VMI options that are gaining popularity.

Demand for corporate voluntary health insurance (VMI) remains high, as employers increasingly view it as an effective tool for attracting and retaining staff. This was told to Izvestia on April 3 by Roman Shcheglevatykh, Vice-president of the Supreme Soviet.
"Companies that previously did not provide VHI to employees or offered programs with a minimal set of services are now allocating budgets for full—fledged insurance coverage," the expert noted.
According to him, the basic package of corporate medical insurance usually includes outpatient treatment, dentistry, inpatient care, as well as calling an ambulance and a doctor at home. In recent years, additional options such as telemedicine consultations, psychological support, and mental health programs have been gaining popularity.
"The inclusion of critical illness treatment in insurance coverage is being discussed separately, primarily malignant neoplasms," the specialist added.
At the same time, companies continue to optimize VMI costs through franchises and differentiation of programs for different categories of employees.
"It is difficult to identify general trends — each insurance company develops its own model, and the final set of services depends on the wishes and financial capabilities," Shcheglev summed up.
Earlier, on November 13, 2024, it became known that the head of the Fair Russia — For Truth faction, Sergei Mironov, sent an official letter to Finance Minister Anton Siluanov with a proposal to change the rules for paying social deductions in order to eliminate the loss of citizens' funds.
