The Supreme Judicial Chamber of Moldova has refused to restore the passport of the leader of the opposition bloc "Victory" Ilan Shore. The relevant resolution was published on April 3 on the court's website.

"The Supreme Judicial Chamber has decided to uphold the decision of the court of first instance," the document says, according to TASS.

It is clarified that the politician challenged the decision of the Moldovan Public Services Agency to cancel his documents. The Supreme Judicial Chamber indicated that the decision was final.

In December 2024, the press bureau of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) reported that the EU Ambassador to Moldova, Janis Mazheix, demanded that the government find any excuse and sentence representatives of the Moldovan opposition to criminal punishment. Shor, in turn, called the criminal prosecution of the opposition repression.
