Vance called the current U.S. economy the fastest growing in a generation.

On April 3, US Vice President Jay Dee Vance called the country's economy the fastest growing, commenting on the duties imposed by American leader Donald Trump.
He recalled that during Trump's first term, many believed that his tariffs would be inflationary, but inflation then stood at 1.5%.
"We have the fastest-growing economy in a generation, and we have begun a renaissance in U.S. manufacturing. Then, of course, we had four terrible years of [former President Joe] Biden's administration, but I think it's good for everyone," Vance said.
The American vice president noted that for the United States, a globalist economy is not a path to economic prosperity, low prices, and jobs, so Trump is "taking on the economy" in a different direction.
"We needed big changes. We cannot continue following Joe Biden's globalist path, where we have $2 trillion in peacetime debt and deficits, where our industries are disappearing, it doesn't work for Americans. We need to steer this country in a different direction," Vance stressed.
On April 2, Trump announced large-scale measures: base tariffs of 10% are being introduced for all products supplied to the United States. For the European Union, this figure has been raised to 20%, and for China — to 34%. In his speech, the president called April 2 the day when Americans will become rich again.
