SberInvestments summed up the results of the first month of weekend trading on the Moscow Stock Exchange

In the first month of weekend trading on the Moscow Stock Exchange, Sberinvestments clients made transactions worth 13.2 billion rubles.

According to the press service of Sberbank, 56 thousand customers submitted 304 thousand applications for the purchase or sale of assets.

The most popular stocks were Sber, Gazprom, Lukoil, VTB, SPB Exchange, X5 Group, Surgutneftegaz, Mechel, T-Technologies and Novatek.

Aisha Kubezova, head of the Sberbank brokerage business, said that clients' interest in investing during non-working days is gradually growing. "During the month, the trading volume increased by an average of 40% every weekend. I think that expanding the list of shares available for transactions will further increase investor activity," Kubezova said.

At the same time, she recommended "trading on weekends with caution, as the liquidity may be lower on non-working days."
