The court of the capital has chosen a preventive measure in the case of animal cruelty against a 40-year-old resident of Moscow, who threw his cat out of the window of an apartment on the fourth floor. This was announced on April 2 in the Telegram channel of the capital's courts of general jurisdiction.
"By a decision of the Ostankino District Court of Moscow, the investigator's request to choose a preventive measure against Lebedev Ivan Vladimirovich, accused of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 245 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, in the form of a ban on certain actions, was satisfied," the statement said.
It is specified that according to the investigation, the man, being in the apartment of a residential building, for hooligan motives threw the cat out of the window of the fourth floor, causing him injury. The man filmed his actions and posted them on a social network.
Earlier, on April 1, law enforcement agencies opened a criminal case against a 40-year-old resident of Moscow who threw his cat from the fourth floor. According to the prosecutor's office, at about 00:30 on March 30, the accused, out of hooligan motives, threw the animal out of the window of his apartment on 2nd Maryina Roscha Street.
Prior to this, it was reported that the attacker explained his act by saying that he was tired of taking care of the pet and spending money on its maintenance. The cat was taken in by a caring girl who will take care of his treatment after a fall.
