- The German Ministry of Defense announced its intention to purchase attack drones for the Bundeswehr.

The German Ministry of Defense intends to sign contracts for the supply of attack UAVs to the armed forces in the near future. This was reported on April 3 by IT Boltwise magazine, citing sources in the German Defense Ministry.
"The Bundeswehr will have to significantly modernize its military potential through the planned acquisition of attack drones," the publication says.
It is noted that the Bundeswehr still does not have modern drones in service that are suitable for modern combat conditions.
On March 3, the Russian Embassy announced Germany's accelerated militarization course. The German authorities intend to increase the size of the army, purchase modern weapons and modernize the transport infrastructure to ensure a large-scale transfer of equipment and units of the alliance to the east.
Prior to that, on March 11, Der Spiegel magazine reported that the Bundeswehr was facing a serious shortage of personnel, significant deterioration in infrastructure such as barracks, and a shortage of combat-ready equipment.
