The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation will sell currency and gold daily from April 7.

The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation will sell 1.6 billion rubles worth of currencies and gold daily from April 7 to May 12. The corresponding statement was published on April 3 on the agency's website.

"Thus, the total amount of funds allocated for the sale of previously acquired foreign currency and gold amounts to 35.9 billion rubles. <...> The daily volume of sales of foreign currency and gold will amount to 1.6 billion rubles," the report says.

According to the agency, the total deviation of the received oil and gas revenues by the end of March 2025 amounted to -65.6 billion rubles. The negative indicator was due to a decrease in oil and gas condensate production compared to the forecast values.

The Russian currency will continue to be influenced by geopolitics.

On January 13, it became known that the agency planned to allocate 70.2 billion rubles for the purchase of foreign currency and gold. It was also expected that the daily purchase volume would amount to 4.1 billion rubles.
