In the Leningrad region, volunteers of the Oktyabrskaya Railway are looking for a dog that ran into an electric train unaccompanied by its owner. This was reported on April 3 in the press service of the railway.

It is specified that on April 1, at Popovka station, a dog ran into the carriage unaccompanied by its owner. During the inspection, it was established that the train crew did not kick the dog out of the train. However, the dog himself ran out of the train when the train arrived at Kolpino station.

"Railway workers always pay special attention to animals. Our volunteers are also involved in the search for the missing dog," the Telegram channel said.

On January 11, 2024, the conductor of the Yekaterinburg – Tikhvin train threw one of the passengers' cats out of the train. The cat got out of the carrier. The guide could not find the pet's owner and decided that he was a stray. The animal was dumped at the nearest bus stop in the cold. Twix was being taken home after the operation, he had all the documents and a ticket.

After the request of the owner Edgar Gayfullin, almost the whole of Kirov was looking for the cat. On January 20, the animal's corpse was found near the railway tracks.

Russian Railways later reported that the conductor was temporarily suspended from work. The company also apologized and said it would amend the documents for transporting animals on trains to prohibit the conductors from disembarking them en route.

According to the results of the investigation, the conductor who carried the animal out of the train carriage was found innocent.
