A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The units of the Vostok group of forces, continuing to delve into the enemy's defenses, liberated the village of Veseloe in the DPR. In this area, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost up to 125 soldiers, four field artillery pieces, including the Polish 155 mm Krab self-propelled artillery, as well as three vehicles.

In addition, units of the Dnepr group of forces liberated the village of Lobkove in the Zaporizhia region. In the area of responsibility of the fighters of this group, the enemy lost up to 60 soldiers, an electronic warfare station (EW) and seven vehicles.

In addition, aviation, missile forces, artillery and drone operators attacked ammunition depots, UAV production workshops, an enterprise of the rocket and space industry of Ukraine and concentrations of personnel and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 148 districts.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 660 aircraft, 33624 units of special military vehicles, 283 helicopters, 22644 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 601 anti-aircraft missile systems, 1533 multiple rocket launchers, 23198 field artillery guns and mortars, 49562 unmanned aerial vehicles have been destroyed.
