The department recalled that Rospotrebnadzor has a modern laboratory base and reference centers that allow it to quickly respond to emerging threats.

They added that the Perimeter system operates at border checkpoints, which helps to analyze the epidemic situation and identify people with signs of infectious diseases.

On April 1, it was reported that a new antibiotic-resistant bacterium has been discovered in Malaysia, which causes infections in many parts of the body. The virus is particularly dangerous for low- and middle-income countries.
