Rostec assessed the protection of Russian tanks from drone attacks

Russian tanks are better protected from attacks by FPV drones than Western ones. This was announced on April 3 by Rostec State Corporation.

"During the special operation in Ukraine, a new threat to armored vehicles has fully manifested itself — attack drones, including FPV drones. And first of all, this concerns Western—made tanks in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as their protection and tactics of use suffer," the Rostec Telegram channel reported.

The state corporation noted that Russian tanks, in turn, have all-round protection. Thanks to her, tanks have become more resilient. Domestic equipment is used for versatile cover, including from enemy drones.

"In addition, the modern fire control system, panoramic sights, and user—friendly interfaces provide tanks manufactured by our Uralvagonzavod with high situational awareness and controllability," Rostec noted.

According to the state corporation, domestic tanks show better adaptability to emerging conditions. Russian technology also allows you to see the full picture of the battlefield. Domestic machines respond promptly, regardless of the circumstances.

On the same day, it became known that the crews of the T-90M Proryv tanks of the 25th Combined arms army of the Zapad group of forces, as part of a combat mission, destroyed a platoon strongpoint, a crew with an AGS-17 installation and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of the special operation. The coordinated work of the crews allowed the Russian assault units to advance deep into the enemy's defenses.
