Over 29 thousand tons of fish and seafood were exported from the Murmansk region

The Murmansk region exported more than 29 thousand tons of fish and seafood abroad from January to March 2025. This is reported by the Bi-port news agency with reference to the North Sea Interregional Administration of the Rosselkhoznadzor.

Over 2 thousand tons of fish, seafood and live Kamchatka crabs were shipped to China. In addition, the products were delivered to South Korea, Nigeria, Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, Uruguay and other countries.

The region exported most of the fish and seafood — about 25.8 thousand tons — to the EU countries.

All shipments were inspected for compliance with veterinary and sanitary requirements. Veterinary accompanying documents have been issued for the products.

The Shatursky Fish Farm, a full-cycle fish farm with a capacity of 220 tons of products per year, will be restored in the Moscow Region. At the first stage, specialists will restore 98 hectares of ponds and launch fish into them. At the second stage, ponds with an area of 210 hectares will be stocked. 60 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes.
