WWII participants and disabled people will receive 200 thousand rubles each in the EAO for the holiday.

On the eve of the anniversary of the Great Victory, veterans and participants of the Great Patriotic War will receive payments in the EAO. The new regional law was submitted to the deputies of the Legislative Assembly by Acting Governor Maria Kostyuk. The parliamentarians supported the initiative.

Participants and invalids of the war will receive payments of 200 thousand rubles. Payments to former minor prisoners of concentration camps and places of forced detention, recognized as disabled, as well as widows of military personnel, home front workers will amount to 40 thousand rubles. War children are provided with 10 thousand rubles each.

According to Kostyuk, quoted by IA EAOmedia, more than 3.5 thousand residents of the autonomous region will be provided with a new support measure. Payments will be made automatically in May, no applications need to be submitted for this.

Earlier, on March 20, it was reported that the government of the Russian Federation approved the rules for lump-sum payments to veterans of the Great Patriotic War (WWII) and home front workers in connection with the 80th anniversary of the Victory. The relevant resolution was published on March 20 on the official Internet portal of legal information. The payments were established earlier, on January 15, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is specified that they concern Russians who live in Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Transnistria.
