Lada Largus family cars in the CNG dual-fuel modification have gone on sale. This is stated in the message of AVTOVAZ, which was received by Izvestia on April 3. The cost of the cars is based on state subsidies and special programs: a station wagon will cost at least 1.69 million rubles, and a van will cost 1.52 million rubles.

Production of the dual-fuel Largus has been suspended since 2021. Such a car can run on both gasoline and natural gas (methane), which is pumped into three steel cylinders with a total volume of about 90 liters. Running on natural gas can reduce fuel costs by 2.5 times. When fully refueled, Largus CNG has a range of more than 1,000 km, according to the company.

The model has been upgraded: in the new version, the cylinders are located under the floor of the body, which fully preserves both the trunk volume and the standard 50-liter gas tank. The cylinders have additional protection in the form of a metal casing, as well as special valves that automatically shut off the supply of methane in the event of an accident.

The car is equipped with a 1.6-liter 16-valve engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. The list of equipment includes two front airbags, a height-adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats, heated windshield and exterior mirrors, air conditioning, parking sensors, rear-view camera, cruise control, rain and light sensors, as well as the EnjoY Pro multimedia system and other options.

The day before, the head of AVTOVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, said that in March the Russian car market showed significant negative dynamics, declining by 44.4%. In March, 28.7 thousand Lada passenger cars and light commercial vehicles were sold in Russia, which is 7.4% more than in February this year and 33% less than a year earlier.

On March 28, it was reported that AvtoVAZ announced an expansion of the color range of the Lada Granta family, with a new bright red flamenco shade. The first batch of such cars has already rolled off the assembly line and been shipped to dealers.
