Khabarovsk schoolchildren will be taught how to protect themselves from Online scams

The season of the All-Russian educational project "Digital Educational Program" has begun in the Khabarovsk Territory. It is dedicated to digital literacy and cybersecurity. Students will be taught the basics of safe online behavior.

The implementation of the project corresponds to the objectives of the new national project "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the state". Its goal is the digitalization of economic and social sectors, the achievement of technological sovereignty and leadership, IA AmurMedia writes with reference to the regional Ministry of Education and Science.

In this training cycle, students will be taught about information security technologies and given recommendations on how to protect themselves and their loved ones from Online scams. They will learn how algorithms work that ensure data security in social networks, what ways there are to strengthen the protection of personal accounts, and they will be told how to identify a cybercriminal online.

The ministry noted that with the help of the "Digital Educational Program" Khabarovsk schoolchildren receive knowledge in an exciting way. This should help them to use the Internet confidently and safely and not be afraid of danger in an online environment.

Students can gain new knowledge and deepen existing ones on their own in an online format or in lessons. Videos can be obtained on the project's website up to and including May 4. The course was developed taking into account age characteristics: for elementary school, middle school, and high school students.

Earlier, on March 25, it was reported that the State Duma adopted a bill on countering telephone fraud in the second and third readings. Now the initiative must be approved by the Federation Council, and then it will be submitted to the president for signature. It will enter into force on June 1, with the exception of certain provisions.
