A resident of Altai was sentenced to 12 years in prison for treason

In the Altai Territory, a court sentenced a 21-year-old local resident to 12 years in a high-security penal colony and a fine of 300,000 rubles for transferring money to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by the Federal Security Service of Russia for the region on April 3.
It is specified that a resident of the Altai Territory, in order to support the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine directed against the security of the Russian Federation, financed terrorists. He learned about the method of transferring funds through an online messenger.
As a result, the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Altai Territory opened a criminal case in accordance with Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason"). At the moment, the verdict has not yet entered into force.
Earlier, on February 4, it became known about the verdict of a resident of the Trans-Baikal Territory for financing terrorism. The Second Eastern District Military Court sentenced the young man to nine years in a penal colony.
